Terms
Which document covers what.
Xrise sells two different things and they are governed by two different documents. This page says which is which, and what is not written down yet.
What covers you
Someone booking a trip through the marketplace
Covered by the published terms at xriseexperiences.com/terms. That document is written for the guest: it says their contract for the trip is with the operator rather than with us, what we are responsible for, and that we are paid by the operator on commission of 6–12% rather than by adding a fee to the guest.
An operator listing on the marketplace
Your commission rate is agreed with you individually and recorded against your account before you list. The published range is 6–12%; the rate that applies to you is the one in your own agreement, and the billing code reads that rather than any number on this website.
An operator running the software on their own site
The published rate at getxrise.com/pricing, and your own written quote where it differs — a founding rate, or a second site. The quote is what binds; the page is what we will quote you if you ask today.
What is not written yet
The honest version of a terms page at our size is mostly this list. A vendor who hands you a thick agreement has had a lawyer write it; we have not, and a document we drafted ourselves to look like one would be worse than saying so.
- There is no master services agreement, software licence or subscription agreement for the software product. Today a software customer signs the quote and nothing else.
- There is no service level agreement. Nothing in writing commits us to an uptime figure, a response time or a support window, and we would rather you negotiated one than assumed it.
- There is no data processing agreement. If your counsel needs one before you hand us customer records, say so early — it is a reasonable thing to ask for and we do not have one on the shelf.
- Nothing here has been reviewed by a lawyer as a software contract, because there is no software contract to review.
If your counsel needs something specific
Ask before you sign anything rather than after. We will tell you whether we have it, and when we do not we will say so and tell you what it would take. How the platform is deployed and protected, and the list of things we have not built, is on the security page.
